Entrepreneur in Residence I
Identify real local problems and create scalable solutions that pay towards the Sustianable Development Goals. The program is divided into a 3-month education block, and a 9-month development block. In the education block, you will learn how to build a business, present your first business idea to our partners and receive an Impact Degree. In the development block, you will use the acquired knowledge to work out your ideas together with our partners in order to start your own business.

Phased Approach
From the start of the program, you’ll start ideating for a purpose, whether that is making cities and communities more sustainable or protecting the world’s ecosystems through the concept of the circular economy. Be prepared to learn about business models that are sustainable financially, socially, and environmentally and how profit is generated as a means to sustain and scale the business, and its positive impact on the planet.

Problem Identification
This phase is about identifying and understanding problems and challenges faced by people and businesses in West Africa.
Empathize - Understand what challenges people in West Africa face and why.
Define - Choose the problem that you want to solve.
Solution Creation
By this point, you know who your target users are and what they want from your product. You also have a clear problem statement that you’re hoping to solve. Now it’s time to come up with possible solutions.
Ideate - Venture away from the norm, explore new angles, and think outside the box.
Analyse - Find out what is already on the market.
Prototype - Turn your ideas into something tangible.
Go-to-Market
From here on, it’s all about getting your product to market and getting your business rolling.
Test - Put your prototypes in front of real users and see how they get on.
Adapt - Align your product with the new insights.
Register - Time to register your start up and scale it up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to participate remotely?
Certainly the education block, partly the development block.
The part of the educational block that is conducted by Tomorrow University is 100% remote. However, the School of Impact Academy thrives on exchange and collaboration with peers. To achieve the best possible outcome and ensure full participation, most sessions will be held exclusively on-site.
What is the admission criteria
The School of Impact Academy is open to change makers proficient in English, already involved in a good cause and who hold relevant professional experience. Please fill out the application form and share your LinkedIn profile and CV.
When will I know if I'm accepted
There is rolling acceptance which means we will be in touch with you within 2 weeks of submitting your application with the status.
